You can go to the vet of your choice. The reimbursement is based on a fee schedule. I have the accident and wellness plan. On the wellness side, Jersey went for a vaccination, exam, heartworm test. Our vet charged 58.00 for exam, 36.00 for vacc and 63.00 for heartw test. VPI reimbursed 20.00 for exam, 30.00 for vacc, 25.00 for heartworm. I'm new at this insurance info too. i don't know if I will keep the wellness part of the plan. I'm going to try it for a year and see how it works. I am defiantly keeping the accident coverage.
