In speaking to Dr Hawthorne there are 3 syndromes that it can be the result of. Studies are being conducted at this time and it has not been determined whether all syndromes or if any are congenital....or heriditary..........If caught early enough it is treatable.
Some vets misdiagnose as blood tests will point to pancreatitis.
