I take temps and I am religious about it. It does not stress my girls out at all, since I am very close with my babies and they trust me 100%. I am gentle and my vet taught me the proper way.

Out of the litters I have had over the years, only 1 girl did her temp not drop right before whelping. So I always feel more comfortable still taking the temps. I have been starting at day 58. When I first started breeding, I remember my vet had me start at 2 weeks before her due date, just to see her pattern, but now I start much later.
