When I was younger, I was obsessed with New Kids on the Block (who wasn't in those days?).....

My favorite song of theirs was a song called "Popsicle".

So I named my baby Poppy.


It serves a triple meaning, in that there was a character in Rainbow Brite called Poppy, as well as the reference to "Poppies" in one of my favorites: The Wizard of Oz. I always wanted to run through a field like that.

It all melded together to create her name. Can you tell I was a child of the 80s?!
