) what about a miniature schnauzer? They're sturdy, but small enough that they'd mesh with your yorkie's size pretty well and their low/high maintenance groomers depending on how you handle them (high maintenance if you strip the coat, super easy maintenance if you clip them.) They're totally terriers, and every one I've met loved to play. I had one growing up because I had very bad asthma and allergies - they don't shed and don't have dander problems.
