a great idea is to use a bell. I went and bought a bell (at a craft store- like you would see at christmas) and hung it on a string on the front door. Every time I took Layla out- I rang the bell and praised her. Then i would start to put her nose close to it so that she was making it ring- and praised her. Now she uses her nose herslef to ring it. It took about 1-2 months for her to really get it but i'ms ure if you use treats with the praise it will go a lot faster!
