This same thing happened to us yesterday. Except it was a itty bitty chihuahua, but still he came out of nowhere. I hoisted Uni up and he was still jumping up and snapping! What a mean little booger he was. His owner couldn't even grab him. I had to stop walking and the owner had to get him mid jump.
