Hope Apple is doing OK now. You may already be doing this, but I'll tell you something that in my experience over a lifetime the one thing that will help these little dogs is exercise. Regular long walks with a bit of running helps to keep their organs working well. Nearly every time I take mine for a walk their bowels will move.
