Lillie shakes a lot too. Yesterday, she took a 4 hour car ride to Houston to visit family...she did fine in the car but once we took her out and let her roam around and smlll everyone my father in law said "Man oh man shes vibratin'!" haha I really just think its because they are excited mostly.
I went to a Yorkie (dog whisperer) session and he said that you can tell if they are scared by their 'shakes' duration. Yorkies that are scared usually shake and shiver, then it will be intermittent--this means they are calming down from something that frightened them. If they just are just shaking in general, its either because they are excited about what's going on or cold. =)
Lillie used to get really scared when we would go for car rides, now I keep a bed in the car and she just curls up and goes to sleep. =)
