I intend to start obedience training with Wookie when he turns 10 weeks. I have a lot of experience with dog training, but since I'm new to Yorkies I thought I'd ask the experts
Wookie doesn't like treats. I've tried cheese, chicken, turkey, and lamb and rice treats that my clients dog's used to gobble up like crazy. In fact he kind of picky with his food. I have to have food out for him all day because of his age to prevent hypoglycemia. So I'm wondering, has anyone had success training their Yorkie with praise instead of treats? I usually train with clickers. I'm hoping that once I can put him on a 3 meal a day plan that I can train him at a time when he is hungry and likely to eat treats. Any suggestions?
