Yes, she was put into quarantine for about 19 days. Not too bad, since we did all the paperwork and shots ahead of time. Had we got her 2nd rabies shot 90+ days before our arrival she'd probably had qualified for the same day airport release.
In that sense the rules have changed - the quarantine is not mandatory if you show all the paperwork and vaccinations that Hawaii requires.
But it was a joy visiting her because her neighbor at quarantine was another yorkie who looked exactly like her except maybe an older version of her. I thought it was cute they put yorkies together.
