I couldn't leave a message because there is no answering service (rural WV). I live an hour and 15 minutes from this shelter. When I said local it is the closest big one to me. I guess they did close early today. I called at 2:30 and they are supposed to be open to the public till 3:00. I tried the emergency # too but they just gave me the number to the shelter. I am sure that everything will be ok. It just breaks my heart that any dog would be in a shelter and especially one that I know and love!!
