Good news: Eddie's home! I picked him up at 7 this morning, and he appeared much more alert that I thought he'd be. Subdued, yes, but he looked like the same ol' Eddie.

Home life is going to be a challenge, I'm discovering. I had to evict Jillie from her X-pen to make a controlled home for Eddie. While she likes the freedom, she can't stand not being able to get to Eddie. He was content to relax at first in his crate, where I was able to hand-feed him his normal portion. But Jillie pranced back and forth outside, barking.

He finally walked out of his crate, on three legs, and Jillie's reaction cracked me up. She immediately stopped barking and ran over to sit next to Rusty on the couch. It was the first time she saw his leg.

Here are a few pics of the action:
1. Jillie prances and barks outside.
2. Eddie was content to spend the first hour or so in his crate. Interesting, because he's never been crate trained.
3. Eddie heard the phone ring, barked and made his way out of the crate.
4. Jillie ran to her big brother for help from the shaved creature that used to be her brother.
