I have my doubts about the recommended feeding amounts on kibble bags.
I've had my new pup for 12 days. I allow her to free feed and she eats about half (if that) of the amount of kibble recommended on the bag for her age and weight. But, in that twelve days, she has gained 8 ounces -- half a pound!
She also has so much energy she is practically bouncing off the walls. I told hubby it is like being trapped inside a pinball machine and Jezebel is the pinball!
Bottom line is, just look at your dog and you will know if they are getting enough or too much.
