I have the same problem, tried the barking device,he barked even louder, tried the newspaper, he just keeps on going. I have sliding doors leading to my back yard and he stands there all day and barks at anything that moves. It's enough to make you go insane. I have been crating him when he starts barking, but that isn't working too well either, when I let him out he just goes back to where he left off.
