She will growl and nip at him when he is whining. They really get into a growling match when someone comes to the door, they both want to be the first to greet whoever is there. I am still waiting on them to get along, one year and counting.

A good thing to try for this is to practice with your husband and friends, have people come to the door and put the dogs in a sit stay use treats or what ever works with them have the person walk right past them whenever someone enters a room they are in the best thing to do is no touch no eye contact just ignore the dogs until they calm down. This is not a quick fix but with time it will fix the behavior. |
