IN MY mind...A mill is a place where animals are caged and never free - They can be large scale or small.... but cages and MISERY are what I feel constitutes a mill - I won't even get INTO their breeding practices because it is just NO LIFE for these poor dogs -

The bad mills don't give a damn about health... comfort...or happiness - they only care about how many puppies they can sell and don't care how miserable or sick the animals are....These poor dogs wouldn't know what to do with a toy.... and have probably never even walked on grass or smelled all the great smells in the world...and certainly have never had a hug from a human....

Medical attention lacks and the breeding parents are doomed to a life in a cage. Puppies are taken too soon from the moms and the mom is just used to breed again ...only to say goodbye to yet more puppies too soon....

a bad uncaring breeder sounds more like your friend - Your friend sounds like she needs to visit the puppy mill sites and compare herself to their breeding practices and ask herself - does she REALLY want be compared to a Mill ?
