Just saw this and read the whole thread. I am so sorry that both of you are going through this. It is scary not knowing what is wrong with our little ones. I am just glad that they think it is the cold and arthritis.
You might want to get runners for your wood floors for her to walk on. That is what I did in my last house. Just put a set of runners on the floor where they normally follow me along. It worked like a champ, and the runners were not that expensive.
