Dogs do not have pain in a normal birth. Mine sit up and pant and you can see the contractions. Do not let her labor for more than 4 hours without contacting your vet. Also do not allow more than two hours between puppies. Do you know how many she is having? If not, you can feel her stomach to see if you can feel any more in there. Have you written down their on call number?

I did not think of thread or dental floss because of my disability. I have no feeling in my fingers so that makes tieing thread on a wiggly puppy next to impossible. I definitely have to have clamps.
