Just sitting here totally agreeing with what everyone else is saying. Your girl is just way too small to even consider breeding. And breeding because she has a great personality is not really a good idea any time. You need a whole host of genetic tests, as well as a real understanding of the genetics involved with breeding.

I don't know any reputable breeders who will use a female under 5 pounds. Its just not safe. So, tell your friends to go to your breeder, and if you want another, do the same.

The risks, hassles, cost as well as the myriad of dangers to your dog (during pregnancy, whelping, potential infections, mastitis, etc) should be enough to put you off this idea. It takes a really special person to be a great breeder. I am sure your girl is lovely, and you love her, but the dedication to the breed that it takes to keep these lines going is huge.

Good luck...I hope you listen to everything everyone has said.
