many yorkies can have tear ducts that are not completely exposed. It casues constant tearing. If it's clear should be ok, but you have to do eye booger detail several times a day, tha'ts what I do. If it's greenish or colored may be something more.

Also food allergies can cause colored discharge.

But can be as simple as hair in the eyes. many people cut or shave the hair around the eyes. I don't do this b/c when it grows out it will poke directly into the eye. Also when it's time for a trim, scissors that close to an eyeball is scary. Then the hair is long enough it will lay down on its own.
