I think I will stick with the way I've been doing things. You know "if it ain't broke leave it alone" I wouldn't want to put them in any harm or anything. I have to bring Wally in for his rabies so I will ask if they need to be on it all year or what. I mean in the winter months they rarely go out. I will ask though.
