I'm told he won't have a cast, and they want him to put weight on it right away. I think back to Jack's surgery for the same thing. He had full use of it the day they took his cast off.  Hopefully Eddie is as tough as his brother.  |
He may surprise you. I have wild child foster who had to have a bone graft on his leg and a pin, plate and screws put in. He had to be on crate rest for one month and very restricted activity for the second. I really thought that he was going to be a tough one. He has adjusted amazingly well. Sometimes I swear they really understand what is going on. When I put him in his crate, he has often turned and sniffed at his leg..almost as if to say "I get this". OK...I guess that sounds odd.
But...all I am trying to say is that I will bet Eddie does really well! Yorkies are tough little critters!
