For Nikon lenses, you need to look for lenses that are noted as "AFS" lenses.
For Sigma lenses, you need to look for "HSM" lenses (they may have added another auto focus-motor line as well, I'm not totally sure...anyone else?).

As for Tamron...anyone know how they note their lenses that have a focus motor on board?
I have the Canon Rebel xs. How does one know if the motor is in the lense or in the body? Also does having the motor in the lens make the lens heavier?
