I had the option of purchasing an e-collar at the vet when I picked her up, but I bought two collars weeks before. One was an inflatable collar (like a donut) from PetSmart which is nice because it allows peripheral vision. Good for day time because she can play with her toys and still be able to see around her.
I also bought a Softee Cone Collar from one our YT friends Mom To Hot Rod. It's a soft collar thath is fabric so it's much more comfortable. Rio wears that one when she's sleeping because it allows her to curl her neck comfortably but still prevents her from licking her incision.
