Default 2 better than one

I'm glad someone else asked this question as I've been meaning to. Belle is just over a year old. We got her 4 months after I lost my Abby (miniature Schnauzer) she really helped heal my broken heart. We have an 11 year old lab that was grieving for Abby to and Belle adopted him right away. It took him a couple weeks to accept that she was staying. She didn't really give him any choice. She is very attatched to her mommy but is never far from her big brother. She cuddles with him and he is her favorite toy. I am wondering when we lose our Lab, how is Belle going to do? I would love to get another little girl for her to have as company but I also like that she is so bonded to me. I don't work so I'm home with her almost all the time. Just wanted YT's thoughts. I'd have a whole house full if I could but my husband thinks Belle is more than enough!
