With APRI As there are not enough Parti being shown right now the Parti are shown along side the standards.
The one thing I like about APRI is the dogs are not pitted against each other as they are in AKC, they are judged against how well they fit the standard for breeding.
One other thing is the dogs are not faulted if the tail is not docked.
True it's not AKC but at this time it's the best we have, for those who want to show their dogs.
This is the standard for Apri.
YORKSHIRE TERRIER

SIZE:
Desirable height is 7-9 in measured at withers; Up to 7 pounds is ideal, but dog should be in overall balance and proportion if it weighs less or more than the ideal
COAT:
Straight, long, glossy, silky, and fine in texture; fall on the head is long, tied with one bow in center of head or parted in the middle and tied with two bows; muzzle hair is long; hair on tips of ears should be trimmed; hair on feet may be trimmed for neat appearance.
COLOR:
Most puppies are born black and tan and change color with maturity. Traditional adults are steel blue or black with golden or tan areas on head, chest, and limbs; some lighter variations of color acceptable.
Chocolate and Parti-Color or Biewer Markings are acceptable as long as all other points of conformation are correct.
HEAD:
Small and rather flat on top; skull not too prominent or round.
Muzzle: Not too long.
Bite: Scissors or level with sound teeth. Serious faults: Overshot or undershot.
Eyes: Dark in color and medium in size; not too prominent; sparkling with a sharp, intelligent expression; dark eye rims.
Ears: Carried erect, small and V-shaped, set not too far apart.
Nose: Black.
NECK:
Good reach of neck.
BODY:
Compact, well proportioned; rather short back height at shoulder is the same as at rump.
Topline: Level.
Chest: Deep.
FRONT & REAR QUARTERS:
Forelegs are straight with elbows neither in nor out.
Hind legs are straight when viewed form behind, but stifles are moderately bent when viewed from sides.
Feet: Round with black toenails; dewclaws should be removed from back feet; dew claws on front feet optional.
Tail: Docked to medium length and carried higher than the level of the back.
Yorkshire Terriers may acceptably have a long tail that has not been docked
MOVEMENT:
�Quick, well balanced movements.
TEMPERAMENT:
�Fearless, spirited, and loyal.
Any departure from this standard should be considered a fault, and the final score should reflect the seriousness of the deviation from the standard
Disqualifications:
Viciousness or extreme shyness.
Coat too short.
Coat too rough.
Wavy or curly coat.
Drooping or low set tail.
