On the brown bow I did it all from stitching, but I didn't try to cinch it.
When you stitch it together in the middle before wrapping it, do you mean just to stitch straight up to make the 2 loops or stitch it some other way to help cinch? I will try it through stitching instead of glue to see if it comes out differently.
