I want to ask: I've heard that often vets recommend that you NOT be present if your pet must be put down, because if you get very upset, your pet (who doesn't understand what's happening) will get upset too, and their final moments won't be peaceful.
Our Vet encourages the pet owner be present...to comfort their beloved pet as it passes.

I've even seen where they dim the lights in the exam room to make it a calmer environment for the pet...and I suppose the family, too.

I especially chose the Yorkie Breed because of their mortality rate...I want 'em to be around forever but, I also want them happy & free of any misery when that day comes so...I'll definitely be there saying my goodbyes & cradling them in my arms.

Hopefully, that day will be a very long time coming for any of my girls
