I also have the Bissell machine and LOVE it! Their pet stain formula is fantastic! Nature's Miracle is great too. Just make sure that it's made for pet stains. Those have a special enzyme that you need.
The next time we need to do something with the carpet, we're going to replace it with tile. It should make life a lot easier. My sister's whole house is tile and they have very few issues with allergies now. And her house looks amazingly beautiful as well.
