As someone who did Yorkie rescue I can tell you most Yorkie rescues will not deal with biters as they can be sued if placed in the wrong home. They are full with wonderful dogs they cannot find homes for, so many times it boils down to a Sophie's Choice and and the biter will usually lose. In our rescue I was the one who ended up with the biters and they live with me. Many small dog breeds do not do well with children...and this is the only way they know how to protect themselves.

When a Yorkie bites it hurts like heck...I know...this is the only breed of dog that I have ever been bitten by and they bite goes down to the bone. I have done a great deal of studying on fear aggression - which I believe is going on here.
