I was very pleased with the experience with the breeder. We were sent home with a lot of info on potty training, feeding, hypoglycemia, and some of his food, treats, Nutri-cal, potty pads and a new toy. We picked his AKC name: Chief Wookforth of Bohol (I'm Native American, my bf is Filipino lol) I was able to meet the puppy's sire and aunt! The sire had beautiful floor length coat, steel and gold. He was a beauty. They all jumped right up in my lap and sat the entire time lol She also breeds GORGEOUS Maltese. It was really nice home environment that seemed really dedicated to raising the pups.

Our first night was kind of rough. He actually slept for 6 hours, but he went to sleep at 8pm so when he woke up he got really scared being all alone in the dark house. I panicked because I heard the upstairs neighbors (which I never hear) waking up to his howling and screaming lol So I slept on the couch and he mostly quieted down once he knew I was there. He whined a bit, but I didn't mind. We're going to put his big crate in the room tonight. I thought about pushing his crate next to our dog Koi's crate so he felt like he had company, but I don't want him to whine because he can't get to him and keep poor Koi up lol Any suggestions with that?

The potty pad thing hasn't been so successful... I knew he had to go, but he just gets mad when I keep putting him back on the tray. I tried blotting some pee up and putting it on there. He went on the pad in his big area last night, but didn't really have a choice. He has good bladder control! He only went pee once and then he cried in the AM when he had to poop. He pooped outside! So I'm thinking the pads will only be until he can hold it for longer.

It's going to be an interesting couple of weeks Any suggestions and help would be greatly appreciated!
Be patient....just keep showing him where to go...the rest is wonderful with a Yorkie....mine passed after 13 1/2 years. he was my love and will always be in my heart...so enjoy yours...they are so intelligent..tak to him as they understand talk rather than commands....Ruaga
