Check with vets in your area. A lot of vets now use a special anethesia for smaller dogs that is safer for them when putting them under. It costs a little extra, but for my own peace of mind, it's worth the money. And if you're planning on showing them...you're really probably going to want their tails docked. It is the standard after all.
