Hi i always keep the back of puppies ears shaved to make sure their ears stand up and trim the edges with scissors , i use my sons beard trimers it gets closer than my grooming shers , i have also been told to rub theirs ears while their standing up this helpes the cartiled from geting riggied and wont stand up . Its kind of like a horse trained to lift his feet up high wnen he walks they put weights just above their hoofs .hope this helps a little . Mombos mom .... Barbara:
