Interesting question but I think it is the motion in a car (going around corners etc) that make them ill. I would get a lookout seat so she can sit higher this seems to help the dogs.

I have never had a dog get air sick but I do want to warn you TO NOT give your little one anything if you are putting her on a plane. Even the airlines will warn you this could harm their breathing. I just don't think planes have as much motion as cars do so I think she will be fine. Mine just fell asleep. What do you plan to carry her in for the plane ride?
