Slightly off topic, but I usually carry one of those little soft plastic caps that you can put on the end of a refrigerated treat "log" to keep it fresh. They are the perfect portable water bowl. Small and soft, so they don't take up any room in your purse.

I will also pour water out in my hand and let Thor drink from that. If people think that's gross, they've never said anything. Usually I get some "awwwww"s. Never heard of spitting in a dog's food, lol, maybe I'll have to try that!
