Ok I'll share what exhibitors use......it's Cindra Sculpting Gel. I like you am not fond of the Pet Silk Products. Something happened a few years back as the owner's began to change formulation......Yiou can also apply a small amount onto your thumb and index finger tips and gently apply to those stray hairs around his nose.
How you apply, is dipping the end of a rat-tail comb and gently smoothing it on. As far as putting his hair into a bow....trying taking less of the hair, just a small amount above the eyes......start small and as his hair grows you'll be able to add more and more.
