I held him all the time, and when I had work to do, I carried him around in a sling bag, I just can't bear to hear a puppy cry. At night, Joey slept in a small zippered crate next to my bed, and I would take him out once or twice to use the pee pad, I'd place him on the pee pad, and then back in his crate. Because the crate had a zipper, I could stick my hand in it and comfort him, he just needed to know someone was there. As soon as he was good with the pee pad training, we allowed him to sleep with us, and he never soiled the bed, we had a pee pad at the foot of the bed on a chest. By the time he was six months, he didn't need holding all the time, and at three years old, I want to hold him more than he wants to be held! |
