As for the crying, the more you get up with them the longer the crying will continue. I would put a pee pad at one end of the crate and not get them up in the night.

I'm a bit surprised by this too. I wanted to pick Toby up at 8 wks and the breeders strict policy was 10 wks and he recommended I wait 12 wks.
