I hope someone comes up with some good suggestions. The only thing I can say is either your husband has to spend more quality time bonding with her, to help her get over the anxiety. Or sadly, she just doesn't like him, and that can happen especially from the lifestyle change. We want to believe that dogs will go with the flow just because we give them shelter, food and a little attention. Many people insist dogs have no feelings or emotions. Well everyday the stories I read tell me different. Yes your marraige is important but I hope you can resolve this without getting rid of her because you never know, the Yorkie you get might not be comfortable either, then what? You'll have to get rid of the Yorkie too
well, what i'm hoping is that because we would bring the puppy into our house with both of us already there, she would bond with both of us. he doesn't have a problem with dogs in general like him, just mine for some reason, and only since i moved in. she loved him up until that point! i also wouldn't even BEGIN to consider giving up my dog, except i know that my mother loves her just as much (maybe more?) as i do, and my puppy adores her and my father, and they have a gorgeous fireplace that she just LOVES!!! lol so i know she would be in great hands with unconditional loving! so if for some reason this DID happen with a new pup, i would make it work regardless.
