this is one thing that gets my goat, as everyone knows the yorkshire terrier comes from yorkshire uk and the reason the tails where docked was to stop the farmers pulling them out of rabbit holes by there tail, were many times the tail would get damaged and have to be removed, as the years went on and the yorkie got smaller the tails were still docked, until a few years ago when the uk and some other countries banned it, so the show breed HAS to have its tail to be shown.
my personal opinion is to leave it alone and let it grow, this is my rosie with her feathery tail i think its the best.
