I had a long discussion with my vet to see if there was something that could possibly help him. Alzheimer meds for dogs

We talked about Xanax but we decided that it really wouldn't address what is going on with him. It would be used more with aggressive behaviors and that is not how Truman is behaving. We are going to increase the arthritis meds that I had just recently cut back to see if it might help relax him a little and also if the adenoma was bothering him it will help with that pain as well.
The vet also said that he was prescribing a med that was developed to help with this issue in dogs. But he said that after attending a lecture by one of the vets that was in on the study of this drug (I forget the name) he decided to ship it all back to Pfizer since it did not do what they promised it would do for the dogs.
My vet is great and I think the world of him. I just found out that he is involved with Greyhound rescue

He basically just said that we should keep him comfortable as possible and just love him.
Thank you everyone for all of your very kind words they really do mean so much to me. I have to hold onto the idea that his time with me will be with all of my love and care possible.
