Beneful is not a good food. Actually is a horrible food for any dog.
There is nothing nutritionally decent in it at all. Personally I think
it's the #1 worst dog food on the market. I read an article about
it and it said it's not even considered a food fit for anything.
There are many other, not so expensive kibble on the market.
Since Yorkies are so small they don't eat much and a 5lb bag will
last at least a month. So if you paid $10.00 a month for a bag of
food that's should work for you.
Kibble can be mixed with wet food. Buy chicken breasts when they
are on sale and boil them and freeze them. Cut tiny pieces up and
add to the kibble even frozen veggies are another thing to add.
Of course cook them in the mico wave first. You can add also some
brown or white rice too and small amounts of chicken broth for added
flavor.
Lot's of healthy things to add to kibble. But it is important to feed
a high quality food to your Yorkie. Check out Natural Balance, Wellness,
and other decent kibble for you pet. THese products run about 10.99
to 12.99 a 5lb bag. That's not much for a Yorkie for a month.
I hope you will reconsider about the food your feeding. It will keep
you baby healthier and happy and less vet bills, hopefully.
