I would suggest that the way to pick a Yorkie is several months after you have decided that is the breed for you. Then, start your research and after you have a long list of questions that you ask the breeder (and the right answers) and the breeder should ask you. Picking a Yorkie puppy is not an easy thing and cannot be done on the first visit, very often. Do not feel pushed to take the puppy you have in mind. This is a 15 year commitment and cannot be made impulsively. I swear, I suggest a potential owner go thru a more thorough process picking a Yorkie than they do picking a hubby..Sorta kidding, but it is really a serious decision to make. You will never be happy with any other breed if you ever are owned by a Yorkie..
