35 was the one which was the hardest for me but I felt a dog which had given years of love and loyalty to someone deserved the right to have someone hold him/her on her journey to the Rainbow Bridge. Yes it is tough but how someone could just drop off an old dog at the pound (to save $$$) to have it be euthanized by themselves is beyond cruel to me. I always shake my head at people who say they love their animal but they could never be in the room because it hurts them to much. Much easy to drop the dog off and leave. How cruel can you be as now the poor dog is all alone in their final moments.
