Just to jump in here...

My Doberman is a certified therapy dog. We volunteer regularly and work with special-needs children and with battered women/teens. Each month Twitch and I go to our visit with these women and they LOVE him and he loves them. They fawn over him and for the 2 hours we are there they forget all of their problems and learn the meaning of unconditional love.

The reason I post this is because we VISIT--the benefit he brings to them is invaluable. The audacity of you suggesting it justifies a rogue breeding program is sickening. If you want to help these women then put out an offer for a certified animal volunteer team to come in and visit.

It's cost effective (since its free--whoo hoo no vet bills), it has all the benefits that animal therapy can bring and you aren't contributing to the animal overpopulation problem.

Problem solved!
