Belly bands solved this problem with us. At first I felt like it was admitting defeat ... that Dunkin wasn't ever going to be potty trained, but instead it's just such a relief.
He LOVED marking the baseboards, and he still tries sometime with the belly bands on. The fact is, though, that a lot of times I go to change the pad out, assuming he must have had an accident, and it's a pleasant surprise to find it clean and dry. The only thing I hate is that when I remove the band, he smells like pee sometimes, so we keep puppy wipes handy. I only wish we would have gotten them sooner ... it would have saved the carpet! |
