Also she is always biting my fingers and arms, just because. I dont know if this is just really rough play, but she just will jump up and start biting and growling. I am kinda at a loss, I dont want to smack her because I think that might make the problem worse. Currently I try the stern "NO", but it doesnt have any effect. I have tried to just ignore her, even walking away, but she will follow and continue to try and bite. I just want to know if this is just puppy behavior and she will grow out of it, or if she has a behavior problem.
Please, please, please don't "smack" her! She will not understand this and end up probably being frightened!! And yes, you did pick her up too young (but that's over and done with so moving on...) and as the other poster said, she is doing what she would normally be doing with her littermates or even her mommy if she was an only pup. She's still learning the limits and IMO you are right to say NO and ignore and turn away when she starts this. I'm a big Victoria Stillwell fan and she recommends making a noise like a dog that has been bit (a sort of yelping sound) when your dog bites you like that. Maybe she'll pick up on the fact that she's hurting you. There are many more here on YT that are more knowledgaeble than I am concerning babies that young so you might want to browse around the forum and see if you can find a similar topic. I hope everything works out for you!
