My Wilma passed green with her last litter... she wasn't ready to deliver yet... still had a week to go....
Long story short... I took my Wilma in since she didn't pass a dead puppy... she was fully dilated.... They gave her a shot of oxytocin and I took her home and she delivered four... "not fully developed" pups. Basically it was an abortion. Wilma was fine afterwards and is currently pregnant again.
I guess what I am saying is abortion doesn't always mean spaying.
Hopefully your girl is just in the first stage of labor and will be delivering soon.
