Default New to Forum! Kitten Compatibility Question

Hello All,

This is such a great little website. Well my parents have two Yorkies, Paul who is 9 and Lily who is 3. I just brought home a kitten that I adopted from petsmart, and Paul was obsessed with her. I have her sequestered in her own room, but he sat outside the door and cried for about an hour. I don't want to let him in the room because I don't want them to hurt each other, but the knowledge that the cat is in the house is driving him insane. I just wondered if there was any advice out there for helping him deal with it, or anyone who had a similar situation with their own little Yorkshires.

Lily is very sweet and very calm and she should not have a problem. The kitten's foster mom said that she was in a house with a dog and so has some good dog experience, but I think the problem is going to be helping Paul deal with it.

Thanks for any and all advice!
